In late 2017, our family was looking for ideas on how to best use our 15 acre Burnt Lands property outside Almonte, Ontario.
Our search for ideas led us to the concept of a net-zero passive solar greenhouse and were convinced that we could use our land and this approach to all-season growing in Canada. As we built the business during the covid pandemic we soon discovered how important local growing was to consumers. They loved the idea of knowing our food was local and so the concept of hyperlocal distribution was created.
